We had Aristrokraft cabinets in our old kitchen...and they were awful! They started falling apart after about 4 or 5 years and the painted finish started scratching & wearing away even sooner.
We had, I assume, builder-grade, but, with the exception of the drawers, you're describing our old cabinets. The drawers were stapled and the drawer fronts were attached directly to the sides instead of a full drawer box with a drawer front attached to it.
The drawer glides were the first to have problems (not the drawer fronts)...drawers became misaligned and the glides were tough to open/close. The drawers were also only 3/4 extension...meaning 1/4 of the drawer stayed inside the cabinet and I seemed to be constantly scraping the back of my hands when trying to get things from the back of the drawers.
The rest of the cabinets soon followed. We even had to replace door hinges & reattach the fake drawer fronts on the sink base cabinet (several times!)
The only thing that was in great shape when we demo'd was the lazy susan (with center pole)...it was as good as the day it was installed! It rotated smoothly, the shelves were level, and since the sides & back walls followed the contoursof the shelves very closely, nothing ever fell off it. It also held an amazing amount of stuff...all our pots & pans, colanders, etc. Those items were heavy but the lazy susan handled them just fine!
One other thing...those half shelves are useless! They're fixed (not adjustable) and you have to get on your hands & knees to get to them!
Back when Consumer Reports rated cabinet "brands" (mid to late 90s), Aristrokraft cabinets were dead last.
We lived with them for 12 years & 5 months, but they were embarrassing for at least 5 or 6 of those years...maybe longer.
Maybe they've changed since then, but b/c of my experiences, I would never recommend them to anyone.
