Welcome to
Hoosier Cabinet Dot Com
We sell original Hoosier Cabinet canisters and spice jars that were included with all Hoosier style cabinets when they were new. We also sell original cabinets and parts when they are available along with lots of other items that would have been found in a "Depression Era" kitchen. Hoosier is now used as a generic term to describe this style of kitchen cabinet. Although Hoosier was the largest manufacturer, there were many companies that manufactured this style of cabinet beginning around the turn of the century and lasting through the depression. Some of the other companies were Sellers, Napanee, McDougall, Kitchen Maid, Wilson and Boone.
We DO NOT stock any reproduction glass.
An Original set of Hoosier Glassware would have consisted of Coffee and Tea canisters, a Salt Box, and from four to eight spice jars. Some manufacturers also included a Cookie/Cracker jar and sometimes a hanging Sugar Jar. The canisters were primarily manufactured by the Sneath Glass Co. of Hartford City, Indiana. There were five major styles of canisters made by Sneath for Hoosier cabinets, Colonial, Mission, Zipper (originally called Quaker), Triple Skip and Napanee. With most canister styles there are early (generally pre 1920 and with a more squared off shape) and later versions. You may click on the pictures below for more information and higher quality pictures of each style. We deal for the most part in original glassware made by Sneath, but also in depression kitchen glassware made by Owens-Illinois, Hocking, Hazel Atlas and others which can be found in the "Other Canister Styles" section. You will find range shakers, salt and pepper shakers, beaters, measuring cups and jars, reamers, and many other items that would have been used in an early Twentieth century kitchen in the "Depression Kitchen Glassware & Utensils" section.
Ordering Hoosier Glassware
Although some of the glassware has become quite scarce and difficult to locate, we try to keep as much in stock as possible. There are many variables that effect the price of old glass. With most of the Hoosier glassware, since we may have many of the same item, we provide you with a price range from a low (well used) price to a high (almost as it left the factory) price. We would like you to use this page and the pictures as a guide and then ask that you contact us with whatever you may be interested in. We will then be able to provide you with pictures and exact pricing of what we have available. Or, if the item you are looking for is not currently in stock, we can hold your name and email address and notify you when one does becomes available. We do offer discounts on large or multiple item purchases. Payment and Shipping Options

All orders (except light items) are shipped via USPS Priority mail, with a minimum charge of $4.95. Insurance is usually required as all of our items are very breakable. We never charge a handling fee, only actual postage. Lost items may not always be available for replacement, in which case a refund will be issued.
Emails - Out of necessity, responding to emails usually has to be moved down on my to-do list. My family always comes first, orders received are second and everything else fights for position on the list as I have a limited amount of time and energy.
