"Never mailed complete item"
Was mailed an incomplete package. I emailed and phoned with all theinformation they requested and was never mailed the replacement. Phonehold time is over 30 min during which you will hear over and over howimportant your call is.

"General cabinet installation"
Beware of installation companies that install Ikea cabinets in metroAtlanta. Regents Company and Rock Star Company are very unsatisfactoryin their lack of attention to detail and general sloppiness in theirkitchen installations. Make sure you get references and look veryclosely at the cabinets that are being used for the reference.

"Glass Rack"
The first day I bought it, while fixing the rack, all of a sudden I hearda "bomb" sound. The next second, billions of shattered glasses fellupon me from head to toe. The next min, my hand and legs werebleeding!Super absolutely unsatisfied!

"Only if you don't cook"
We have had our Ikea Kitchen for 8 years. I was all for the price andhad an Aunt that always had Ikea Kitchens and they always looked great.So I was pretty annoyed when the coating started to chip, peel, andyellow. Under the sink is the worst since the coating chipped the frontof the cabinet. The water that does drip down has made the pressed "wood"expand. The steam from the oven has peeled the paint near the stove and the crock pot has made the paint bubble and crack without anycontact and a good 5 inches of space. Even the cabinets that are notnear those "harsh environments" are not doing too well, and you can seethe cracking of the paint under the varnish. Do we have the receipt?Nope, so no replacement. The one thing that has maintained is the basecabinets. I have no complaint with those. Even the lazy susan in thecorner cabinets have worked well. I have come to realize that my Auntnever actually used her kitchen, as she was in the food industry andalways bought her food home with her. So beware. These cabinets can'ttake the heat, and it is sad that my mom's 40 year old kitchen looks alot better than my 8 year old one does.

"Stat doors discolor and chip"
I wish we had found reviews of Ikea cabinets from people who had them for longer than a recent renovation, but unfortunately, all wefound were happy customers. It's been six years since we did our kitchenand it shows. We're still happy with the cabinets structurally. Theproblem is the doors--they haven't held up at all. They were white whenwe bought them but have yellowed considerably, a fact really in evidencewhere we have a new door next to an old one. We also have a majorproblem with the melamine surface (or whatever it is) chipping off. Theyellowing affects all of the doors, and the chipping affects probablyall but 2 or 3 of them. We should be able to trade the doors in forreplacements under the 25 year warranty, but we're waiting for a fewyears for when we're ready to sell this house. There's no point inreplacing the cabinet doors again just to have them look like junk forpotential buyers.

"Buying Ikea cabinets"
We are in the process of installing a new kitchen from an unfortunatebroken water pipe in the ceiling. My wife and I have decided to go withthe Ikea cabinets, as they have a great warranty, and if assemblesproperly, they will last!Throughout college, I lived with many Ikea pieces, including a bed. The absolute KEY TO ASSEMBLY is to properly use Gorilla Glue for anything that touches wood including the screws. Any screws, or cam-locks you should use thread locker. My time in school took me from Chicago, to Utah, to Texas, and to Michigan. Never once had a problem with Ikea products.

"Review of IKEA AKURUM/RATIONELL kitchen cabinets"
I purchased these cabinets from IKEA last month and I must say that so far I am very satisfied. The cabinets look great in my kitchen. I bought them in white to replace some old, dark cabinetry and the results are fantastic. The kitchen now looks so open and airy. I would recommend these cabinets to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen and likes the look of white cabinets. I personally feel that white is a great color for kitchen cabinets. What I like most about the cabinets it's their look and how gorgeous, open and inviting they make my kitchen look. If I had to say something I dislike about it would be the fact that they tend to show dirt a little bit more than say a darker color cabinet. This really isn't a problem for me as I like to keep everything clean and will wipe with a damp sponge almost everyday but if you are not a clean freak that might be something to consider. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to a friend.

"A Simple Review of Cabinets that come from Ikea and how they compare to previous cabinets."
Well first of all, the most important attribute about these cabinets is that they look great. Surprisingly, it was rather hard for me to find contemporary cabinets that I didn't have to pay outrageous shipping fees for,but, luckily, and Ikea had recently opened in a town near mine. They were completely easy to install by myself due to their light weight, lack of complex parts, and use of minimal tools. The quality of the wood is quite lacking though, sometimes it feels rather cheap because it isn't made of a sturdy wood. As of now, however, I haven't had any issues with it, no breakage, chipping, or sagging. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a lovely modern feel to their kitchen (or any other storage areas).

"Ikea offers value and flexibility"
I've purchased my Ikea Applad White cabinets in 2010. I made my purchase decision based on the value that the cabinets offered. I was able to purchase my cabinets and assemble them myself and include many desired features like pull out shelves and soft closing doors and drawers for much less than the least expensive ready made cabinets on the market at my local hardware store. If there is anything that I dislike about my cabinets, it is that I can't find any other place in my home to install them! I love the project of design and installation so much I would love to do it again. I have had zero problems with the cabinets to date. I would recommend these cabinets to my friends. In fact, I have! And my friend ended up installing another finish of these cabinets in her home as well and she loves them too!
