Designing a kitchen can be an act of labor, fun and love. Choosing the just the right look can help create the kitchen you've always wanted. Part of the fun is in the details. For example, painting kitchen cabinets to your own personal specifications can add a unique and lovely touch to any kitchen. Choose colors that will enhance the look of your chosen design and blend in harmoniously with the rest of your house.

Paint one corner of the cabinet first to see how you like the results. Leave the color on for a day or two. Examine the color in the early morning, late afternoon and evening. Colors may look different depending on the time of day and light in the room.
